Note! This workshop takes place in Dutch.

What do you care about enough to stand up for?

Discover your inner activist during this short and hands-on workshop by Art Group XR (Extinction Rebellion) on 16, 22 and 30 August. We explore what demonstrating means, what your rights are as a protester, and how protest has been used throughout history to bring about social change.

What issues matter to you? Which principles are important to you? And what happens when those principles come under pressure? Starting from these questions, we look for a message that you would like to bring to people’s attention.

We then dive into the world of protest banners. What makes a message powerful? How do you translate an idea into a catchy phrase or striking image? And what are the possibilities and limitations when creating a banner?

After a short brainstorming session, you get to work yourself. You’ll first make a sketch and then turn it into your own banner.
